Each score below represents one student, the number is the number of questions they missed on the exam out of 120.

Questions:

 

  1. Did an equal number of student get the question correct compared to the number that got the question wrong?
  2. Is there a significant difference between the test scores for the three groups?

 

 

Question 2 on an exam:

 

“What is the relationship between a low speed limit and being under or over-privileged?

 

1. Correct:                  16, 20, 10

 

2. Defined terms:       27, 17, 26, 30, 16, 36, 43, 23, 41, 30, 44, 24, 42, 39, 39, 53, 15,

30, 16

 

3. Totally wrong:        47, 36, 23, 41, 24, 30, 33, 33

 

4. Didn’t answer:        31, 50, 41, 53

 

  1. What percent of the class simply defined the terms?
  2. Assume that a population of students who took this class averaged 32 incorrect; are the students who simply defined the terms better or worse than the average student?
