Jessica Snook (Accounting) is spending the spring 2011 semester at the University of Oviedo in Spain. Snook, who will graduate with a Spanish minor, is studying in Spanish to improve her fluency in the language.
Nick's Epic Adventure
Nick Canby (Management '10) spent six months in Dalian, China, working part-time as an intern with DDAFESCO and taking two courses at Dalian Nationalities University. He began this adventure in August 2010 after completing the UNIBusiness Dalian Capstone course earlier that summer.
China Diaries
A collection of blogs under "An Internship Adventure," which chronicles UNIBusiness students working and studying in Dalian, China, and "Reflections on Iowa," which gives the view of FAW employees who traveled from China to take part in internships at UNI and in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls community.
China Tour
A collection of blogs by UNIBusiness students participating in the Global Skills program held in Dalian, China, each June. Starting in 2011 students from all the participating universities - from six different cultures - will blog.
Iowa-Midwest Brazil Exchange on Business and Agriculture
Eight students per year from UNI, Hawkeye Community College and Kirkwood Community College study for one semester at the Universidade de Brasilia or the Universidade Federal de Goias. This is a collection of blogs about their experiences and the experiences of their instructors.
Little Hero Big Adventure
Jonathan Corcoran (Management and Biology) is spending the fall 2011 semester teaching English to elementary students in rural Korea.through the Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK) program. He hopes to follow up that experience with a study abroad program at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan.
