Erroll B Davis Jr. Award

The Alliant Energy/Erroll B. Davis Jr. Award was created by Alliant Energy to honor Erroll B. Davis Jr. for his 30 years of service to the utility industry. It recognizes the outstanding scholarship and leadership of traditionally underrepresented minority students who have demonstrated academic achievement in business or engineering, leadership in campus and community organizations, and have what it takes for a successful future career. Students may receive a scholarship of up to $5,000.

Eligibility and Criteria

  1. Students must currently be enrolled as an undergraduate at an eligible institution;

  2. Student must be a member of one of the following underrepresented groups: African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian, Asian, Pacific Islander, or East Indian, or from a racial or ethnic group traditionally underrepresented in the fields of business or engineering;

  3. Students are required to be a citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien;

  4. Students must receive two letters of support from faculty members or advisors from their Regent university;

Applications must be submitted online, email attachment or by U.S. mail. Students will not be able to hand deliver applications or additional material.
