Short-term Abroad
Short-term study abroad programs are a great option for students whose responsibilities make semester-long absences difficult. Students travel with a professor and other university students for an up-close and in-depth look at a specific country or region.
UNIBusiness offers four short-term programs in addition to those offered by other UNI colleges.
Earn your Liberal Arts Core capstone credit through this course. Travel to Nicaragua and spend approximately two weeks working side-by-side with Nicaraguans. Help improve their communities while learning how cultural characteristics affect the work environment. Learn more about the course through the course website.

A select group of UNI students travel to Moscow during the semester while their counterparts from Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics (PRAE) visit the UNI campus. Each group focuses on a specific research topic, makes presentations on their topic and strenghtens their international business insight.

Study Mandarin, develop interpersonal skills, and explore the business and culture of Beijing and Dalian, China, for three weeks in June. UNI students enhance their ability to work in multi-national environments by joining students from Dalian Nationalities University (China), University of Economics in Katowice (Poland), EAFIT University
(Columbia) and the University of Brasilia ( Brazil) for classes and social events. Learn more about the course through the course website.

Travel to Ghana for an extended Spring Break and study how cultural differences affect everything from personal relationships to a country's global economic status. Immerse yourself in the music, charm and mystique of nation quite unlike America. Participants live in the rural village of Kopeyia for a week learning West African drumming and dancing and visit national rainforests, slave castles and the country's capital, Accra.
