Fly free to summer programs overseas!
UNIBusiness summer abroad programs and special programs with our international partners are designated as "Fly-Free" for business students. Scholarships cover the cost of airfare to and from the program destination.

This faculty-led liberal arts capstone course is offered through UNIBusiness and focuses on understanding the impact of culture on the work environment. Students must travel to Nicaragua and work side-by-side with Nicaraguans to help improve their communities.
The course is offered each May term. Students spend approximately two weeks in Nicaragua. Details
This faculty-led capstone course is designed to enhance a student's knowledge of and capability for working in a variety of environments throughout the world. Getting practical experience in a society with very deep historical roots provides insight useful in adapting to a variety of cultures. This course provides both language (Mandarin) and interpersonal skill development. Students study culture in Beijing and then travel to Dalian for language training at Dalian Nationalities University (DNU). DNU students join UNI students during the Global Skills class sessions, and they partner for social events.
Students are in China for three weeks during the month of June. Details
Doing Business in France and the EU (May)
Master's and senior-level business students can study international business with outstanding faculty and European business professionals for two weeks in May at the Institut Supérieur du Commerce (ISC), one of the leading business schools in France. The program focus is how to do business in France and the European Union.
MBA students can earn their required 3 hours of elective credit. Undergraduate students can earn 3 hours of elective credit.
This two-week seminar is offered during the May term, typically beginning the week following spring semester finals.
Luxury Brand Marketing (June)
Junior- and senior-level business students can attend a session dedicated to Luxury Brand Management for two weeks in June at the Institut Supérieur du Commerce. With a reputation as one of the best Master's programs in Marketing and Management of Luxury Products, ISC provides students the most up-to-date practices in this specialized field. In addition, students will have the opportunity to network with business professionals, helping to establish connections within the luxury and fashion industries.
Students can earn 3 hours of elective credit.
ESC Rennes School of Business offers a two-week program on Corporate Social Responsibility in June. This program provides a conceptual framework for understanding how organizations and managers can optimize the triple bottom line - economic, social and environmental sustainability - using a successful corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy. This course is comprised of several learning activities, including 35 hours of face-to-face instruction, case and personal study time, guest speakers and company visits.
Master's and junior- and senior-level undergraduate students qualify for this program.
Students can earn 3 hours of elective credit.
The Mercator School of Management (MSM) of Duisburg-Essen University in Duisburg, Germany, offers a Business and Economics Summer Term (BEST) for UNI graduate students.
BEST offers a variety of courses in business, economics and the German language, with special emphasis on the European economic environment. BEST includes field trips to the industrial and cultural attractions of Duisburg along with a weekend excursion to Berlin. Students with German language proficiency can participate in a short-term internship after the program's completion. The program runs four-weeks, typically in June.
Graduate students can earn up to 6 hours of credit.

To apply for Fly-Free Program funding, complete the UNIBusiness International Opportunities Scholarship Application and submit the completed form to the UNIBusiness International Programs Coordinator, Chris Schrage, in CBB 5 before Feb. 15.
