Responsibilities

Ms. Heimann teaches MGMT 3113, Business Communication, online, along with various classes in the Communication Department.  In this class, she guides students as they learn common forms of professional written and spoken business communication, engage in event planning, and collaborate to identify, research, and propose solutions to real world virtual management issues.  Ms. Heimann also serves as a learning assessment consultant across multiple departments.     

Professional Accomplishments

Ms. Heimann actively presents on Quality Online Educational practices at a variety of local and regional conferences.  She won the Iowa Communication Association’s award for Outstanding Adjunct Instructor and an Apple Polisher award, both in 2015.  Her article, “The Influence of Instructor Status and Sex on Student Perceptions of Teacher Credibility and Confirmation Across Time” was published in the 2010 edition of The Basic Course Annual.
