Responsibilities

Professor Moussavi teaches and conducts research within the Management Department.  He is the inaugural holder of the Bradford Chair, established recently by Robert and Margaret Bradford to advance international business education.  As Bradford Chair, he is to launch new, innovative and impactful educational programs that enhance global engagement of our students and faculty.  Moussavi is also in charge of the College’s international programs.  In that capacity he oversees the College’s efforts to internationalize student and faculty experiences.

Professional Accomplishments

For 14 years, until August 1, 2015, Moussavi served as the dean of UNIBusiness.  During his leadership period, the College made significant progress in: securing alternative sources of funding, enhancing its international presence, raising its research profile while maintaining its teaching edge, and contributing to economic vitality in Iowa.

Dr. Moussavi’s areas of specialization within the field of management are organizational analysis and managerial cognition.  He has published widely in selective academic journals and presented to academic and professional audiences worldwide.  He serves as advisor to academic institutions that aspire to the highest standards of global business education and regularly conducts training seminars for both business professionals and academic administrators.
