Instructor of marketing Chris Schrage was rewarded for her work on the Operation Stimulus Conference’s case competition and continued efforts in trade education development with the conference’s 2013 Educator of the Year Award.
For the last five years Schrage has advised UNIBusiness students teams at the Operation Stimulus Conference. This year she also developed the student case study and played an integral part in the case competition. The case involved logistics challenges for International Medical Corps, which is led by UNIBusiness alumna Nancy Aossey (Marketing ’82, MBA ’84).
Schrage, Alex Brown (Management and Economics), Amanda Gavin (Management), Ryan Coomes (Management), Joe Noonan (Management), Eddie Rausch (Management) and Scott Fitzpatrick (Management) traveled to Denver Jan. 31 through Feb. 2 to participate in this year’s conference. The conference is hosted annually by the Denver Transportation Club for high school and college students who wish to pursue a career in transportation and logistics.
The team of UNIBusiness students competed in the case study compeition and placed second in their pool. They also attended several presentations relating to supply chain management and logistics and networked with industry professionals, which led to interviews for two of the students.
