Every year the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier selects a group of "20 Under 40" — young leaders in the community who are making a difference. This year, close to one third of the honorees are UNIBusiness grads. Congratulations to the following:

  • Brian Aronson (Accounting `07). Brian is assurance manager at BerganKDV in Waterloo. He‘s involved with the ISCPA/AICPA, Main Street Waterloo, Waterloo Rotary Club, and Cedar Valley United Way.
  • Gabe Berger (Business Administration and Management `01). Gabe is operations manager of Peters Construction Co. in Waterloo, primarily in human resources and finance.
  • Dustin Whitehead (Real Estate and Finance `01). He is director of sales and leasing-Midwest for Lockard Cos. in Cedar Falls, where he is responsible for tenant/landlord representation, acquisition, disposition, and market analysis.
  • Adam Bolander (Marketing Management `14), is group circulation director for the Waterloo Courier as well as several other publications in the Mason City area.  Adam quickly rose from sales and marketing manager to a circulation position and eventually to his current position.
  • Megan Hannam (Interior Design and Marketing `07), is a residential interior designer specializing in kitchen and bath cabinetry design, "ultimately transforming your everyday life and leaving you with a kitchen that will inspire you all the days ahead."

The honorees were featured in Cedar Valley Business Monthly magazine in November and will be featured on a daily basis in the Courier in December.
