Buyer-Supplier Trust Development: Insights from the Brazilian Agribusiness
José Márcio Carvalho is from Lavras, a city of Minas Gerais State in Brazil. He finished his Bachelor’s degree as an agronomist at the Federal University of Lavras in 1992. At the same university he received his Master’s degree in Management. In 1995 he began to lecture at Tocantins University (Brazil). He obtained his Doctorate at the University of Reading (UK). His dissertation examined the international trade of Brazilian agricultural products. Dr. Carvalho currently lectures at the University of Brasília. He also consults on the exportation of pineapple, meat and coffee to international markets focusing on Russia and the Middle East. His work has supported public policy for the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and trade associations.
Challenges Faced by Women in the Trucking Industry
Ellen Voie founded the Women In Trucking Association in March of 2007, and currently serves as the nonprofit organization’s President/CEO. Women In Trucking was formed to promote the employment of women in the trucking industry, remove obstacles that might keep them from succeeding, and to celebrate the successes of its members.
Supply Management Role of Taking Care of the Customer and the Business
Brian Culberson is Manager, Service Parts Supply Management for the Agriculture and Turf Division at John Deere. Brian is responsible for leading the Global Ag & Turf Supply Management Team for the World Wide Service Parts Organization.
Lunch Presentation: UNI Supply Chain Management Association Operation Stimulus Competition Team
Presentation by six student members of UNI‘s Supply Chain Management Association who will compete in the Denver Transportation Club‘s annual Operation Stimulus Case Competition in January. Team members are Alex Brown, Ryan Coomes, Scott Fitzpatrick, Amanda Gavin, Joe Noonan, and Eddie Rausch.
