Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)
The VITA Program provides professional experience for future accountants who envision a career involving tax preparation. Junior and senior accounting students prepare federal and state tax returns and answer tax questions for community members and fellow students without charge.

Farmers State Bank Student Board of Directors
UNIBusiness undergraduate students can apply to join the Farmers State Bank student Board of Directors. Student board members assist in decisions primarily regarding products and services that may be desirable for customers, witness the inner workings of a community bank and regularly interact with C-level officers of the bank. Student members have the opportunity to analyze certain aspects of the Bank's financial statements and to review Farmers State Bank's loan underwriting decisions. Members also propose responses to loan defaults and generate ideas to market the bank to retain existing customers, attract new customers and develop new financial products.
