Professional Accomplishments

Cathalene comes to us as the income tax instructor having eight years of income tax experience working with a private tax firm as an office manager, tax preparer and income tax instructor. In addition, Cathalene has taught accounting courses at Morgan State University, Towson University and Roseman University of Health Sciences. Cathalene has 11 years of military experience in the U.S. Army, where she also served as a course instructor and writer.

She received a Best in Session Award for her paper presentation on What?! A Penalty for underpayment of Estimated Taxes: A Case Study of Estimated Taxes, and has received numerous military awards, including a Meritorious Service Medal in 1992. Cathalene has been involved in the Golden Key International Honor Society (FAMU), Phi Theta Kappa, Rho Tau Chapter Member (TCC), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Accounting Association and the National Association of Black Accountants.
