Research Interests

Eric’s research primarily examines disruptive technologies and sustainability. His publications and ongoing projects look at: how accounting firms can better incorporate cutting-edge robotic process automation techniques in their audit tasks, how users of A.I. technologies can better recognize and deal with the different ethical and digital discrimination problems, how factors related to regulation compliance and crypto users’ culture could play in future standard setting, how to use media’s competing discourse in explaining recent blockchain phenomenon, how sustainability accounting narratives can be both judiciously and opportunistically framed to affect stakeholders’ actions, how gender/diversity issues could impact both corporate social responsibility reporting and companies’ performance outcomes, various pedagogical topics related to environmental sustainability, service learning and community engagement, as well as researches related to investment, business communication, and fraud detection.
