Jason Clay

Environmental Specialist

Jason Clay began working with the IWRC in November 2021. His current work focuses on emerging contaminants such as per and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, and providing support for IWRC’s Food Waste Reduction and Composting programs. Clay’s prior work experience has allowed him to work on small farms in Iowa, Arizona and Wisconsin, in public works and parks departments in Iowa and Wisconsin, and in the non-profit sector on issues including community development, riparian conservation, community gardening and food security.

Hobbies & Interests
In his free time, Clay enjoys mountain biking, wood-working, camping and hiking.
