Jessica Parker

Jessica has more than 21 years of public accounting experience providing financial statement audit services across a broad range of industries. Her industry experience includes financial services—such as specialty finance companies, banks, and credit unions—as well as professional services organizations and employee benefit plans.

Jessica serves clients in both engagement leader and engagement quality reviewer roles. As an engagement leader, she provides timely advice and consultation on complex accounting and auditing matters, supports engagement teams in addressing audit issues, and is responsible for overall audit quality, including ensuring that reports issued by the firm comply with applicable professional standards. In her role as an engagement quality reviewer, Jessica performs independent and objective evaluations of significant judgments and conclusions reached by engagement teams to enhance audit quality, professional skepticism, and compliance with professional standards.

Jessica is the lead partner of the audit practice in Cedar Rapids and a leader within the firm’s national financial institution practice. She is also a partner sponsor of STAR—Stewardship, Teamwork, Advancement, and Retention of Women Leaders—one of RSM’s employee network groups dedicated to supporting the advancement and retention of women through advocacy, mentorship, and professional development. In addition, Jessica is actively involved in recruiting efforts at her alma mater, the University of Northern Iowa, supporting campus recruiting initiatives and engages with students interested in pursuing careers in public accounting.
