Associate Dean and Professor

Mary works closely with the Dean to provide active support for faculty, staff and students and CBA and university policies, processes and initiatives. Mary is responsible for managing the college's AACSB Accreditation reports and processes and she is engaged in strategic management and learning assurance. She also provides leadership and coordination with departments in transfer/articulation issues with Iowa's community colleges. As she represents the college on important university committees, she maintains a special focus on building productive and positive collaborations with university administration, colleges, departments and faculty.

Professional Accomplishments

Mary has published articles in many respected journals including Personnel Psychology, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Journal of Management, Human Relations, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, and Journal of Management Education in addition to others. Mary won the Outstanding Paper Award for Emerald Literati Network for her paper on 'Gender differences in leadership competencies, expatriate readiness, and performance. During her time teaching at Virginia Tech she won the Pamplin College of Business Diversity Excellence award and the Teaching Excellence award. Mary taught at the University of Iowa and Virginia Tech before coming to UNI.
