Melissa Sisler

Professional Accomplishments:
Melissa is an audit partner in the Des Moines Iowa office of RSM US LLP. Melissa's focus in client service includes assisting clients as a general business advisor and developing audit strategies for audit and accounting services. She has been with the Firm since 1997 and has over 18 years of public accounting experience.

Melissa specializes primarily in the real estate industry, not-for-profit organizations and senior living organizations. Melissa is a firm-certified not-for-profit and yellow-book specialist. She specializes in affordable housing, including consulting projects as well as attest services, for the Low income Housing Tax Credit, Historic Rehabilitation Credit and various other state and local tax incentives. Melissa is also responsible for coordinating approximately 80 employee benefit plan audits in the Des Moines area, which includes scheduling and training assigned professional staff and reviewing these engagements. Melissa is involved in teaching professional education classes within RSM.
