Community:
Dick is retired but still stays active with volunteer activities. He was a member of the American Institute of CPA's, the Iowa Society of CPA's, the Financial Executives International, where he was an Iowa Chapter President and a Board Member, and the ESOP Association.
Personal interests and involvement include serving on the UNI College of Business Dean's Advisory Board, the President's Advisory Board of Grand View University, the Board of Directors of Precision Pulley & Idler, the Board of Directors of Wright Service Corporation, State Chairman Emeritus of Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for Iowa, a volunteer at the Iowa Gold Star Museum, and a volunteer with United Way of Central Iowa. Dick actively volunteers as a financial counselor with the Small Business Development Center in central Iowa.

Dick began his career in public accounting in 1977 as a staff auditor and subsequently as an audit manager prior to moving into the private sector of accounting. Once in the private sector, he served as the controller of a local real estate development company and as CFO of a light manufacturing business.
Dick joined ITAGroup, Inc. in 1989 as Vice President of Finance. He was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1990 and joined the ITAGroup, Inc. Board of Directors at that time until his retirement on August 31, 2013. He continued to serve as a Board member until August 31, 2015.
