Del has held faculty positions in nine different colleges and universities in Iowa, with both teaching experience and education with all three state universities. He has more than 48 years of teaching experience in higher education. He also has experience in administration at the Department Head, Dean and Vice President level in several colleges and universities. Del has started several business ventures generating more than $2 million annually or higher. He has worked closely with Iowa manufacturing organizations in a consultative role for 12 years and has more than seven years of experience in the private sector. He is a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy for six years.

The University of Northern Iowa announced a change to the name of its marketing department to reflect long-held entrepreneurial values that in recent years have surged in popularity for current and prospective students. The new name, the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, was approved by the Board of Regents at a June 4 meeting and both reflects and legitimizes the department's commitment to teaching the mindset, values and strategies of entrepreneurs.
With a UNIBusiness education as a base, Becca Flynn Kettman (Marketing ’14) has been serving a larger purpose in her career track — working to improve and preserve our planet. Kettman is a fellow with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Zoom has become the virtual meeting platform of choice for thousands of people due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you’re new to Zoom, or virtual meetings in general, the idea of online meetings can be overwhelming for us who’ve never worked or taken classes from home.
COVID-19 is forcing us to make organizational adjustments that are outside of the comfort zone for some. Although it’s been reported that 43 percent of employees work remotely with some frequency, leading a team of employees from afar can feel daunting, especially if those employees are new to working from home.
The University of Northern Iowa student chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) won three awards at the annual Cedar Valley Addy awards show (Student Best in Show and two Gold Addys) last month. The group earned the hardware thanks to its “Get Dogged” campaign, which it created for the annual National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) last year.
