Business education for the next generation of health care leaders.
Iowa Workforce Development has projected Health Care and Social Assistance as the State’s fastest growing sector at 17.1 percent from 2014 – 2024. The industry faces complex market and political pressures, along with impacts from rapidly changing technology and chronic labor shortages. Management expertise specific to the industry becomes critical as health care organizations navigate these difficult issues.
The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration provides health care professionals with the business fundamentals that will prepare them to take a management role within a health care organization. Enrollment is limited to students who have completed or are concurrently enrolled in a Master of Science in Nursing degree program.
On A Professional's Schedule
The UNI graduate program at Cedar Falls was created to serve both full-time and part-time students through modular scheduling. This design divides the MBA program into three modules of 11 weeks each. All classes in the modules meet once a week and on different days - allowing you to take classes as they work with your schedule. The modular scheduling allows qualified, full-time students to complete the MBA program in a single year at a substantial tuition savings. Part-time students take advantage of our modular scheduling to complete the program over two, three or four years, depending upon available time.
Courses are offered in the evening from 5:30 to 9 p.m., and a couple of special workshops take a full Saturday. Class schedules are provided two to three months in advance, allowing time to coordinate work, family and academic demands.
