Teaching Interests

Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Strategic Management (Strategy and Policy capstone). She also teaches a course on Women in Business that addresses leadership, mentoring and career/life strategies for professionals.

Research Interests

Women in Business. Current projects involve Entrepreneurs (African American Women Entrepreneurs and the role of women in family-owned and managed enterprises) and Professional Women's Career Strategies (e.g. leadership, mentoring, and work/life issues).

Professional Accomplishments

Professor Robinson has given refereed presentations at international conferences in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Cape Town, South Africa and Accra, Ghana, as well as research and teaching conferences in the United States. She is one of three co-principal investigators for a nationwide study of African American women entrepreneurs. This research is the subject of forthcoming publications. Dr. Robinson's other current writings are related to her use of full length feature films in teaching organizational behavior and human resource management, and an academic-corporate mentoring initiative that is part of the course she developed on Women in Business.
