Dan Bumblauskas is a faculty conducting research and teaching in the area of operations and supply chain management. Dan also provides consulting and focused solutions to grow and develop business, improve operational efficiency and develop customized training solutions.
With students, Bumblauskas is focused on experiential and applied learning, which includes Six Sigma. He also is passionate about hands-on consulting and study abroad and international opportunities.
Hobbies & Interests
In his free time, Bumblauskas is a youth hockey coach and team manager for the Waterloo Jr Hawks at the Squirt (10 and under) and Mite (8 and under) levels. He enjoys playing golf, swimming and vacationing with his family.

Dan is the recipient of the Excellence in Education Award, a Business Week Faculty of the Year Award Finalist, along with numerous other awards and distinctions in industry and academia.
Dan has a book in development and numerous research projects in process. His work is recognized by academics and practitioners alike, with frequent invitations to give talks and hold workshops in supply chain management.
Before coming to UNI, Dan was a faculty member at the University of Missouri (Mizzou). He not only has outstanding academic credentials, but comes to teaching with experience as a consultant with a global client base and as a former management team member for ABB Inc., a Fortune 500 company recently named Fortune's most admired industrial machinery company.
