Accounting Club students gather in an office to listen to a BerganKDV representative

On Monday January 25, 2016 approximately 40 members of the UNIBusiness Accounting Club participated in an on-site visit to the public accounting firm of BerganKDV in Waterloo, Iowa. There, teams of professionals discussed career opportunities with students, at this quality, mid-sized regional firm in the fields of auditing, tax and client services. The recent merger of Bergan Paulsen and KDV to form BerganKDV has resulted in job opportunities for UNI students in key cities in Iowa and Minnesota. Networking continued at a nearby restaurant at a reception hosted by BerganKDV for UNI students. Chad Abbas, partner and UNI accounting alum ('91) indicated, "It's always great to meet so many students within the accounting program at UNI and to host them at our offices. The program has long been known for its excellence and the students are a testament to that. We are proud to partner with the accounting club and to employ so many UNI grads."

The club maintains a website at www.uni.edu/studentorgs/accountingclub listing the Club's calendar of events, photo gallery, firm sponsors and career links. For more information about the Accounting Club, please contact Alex Merfeld (Director of Communications) at acctclub@uni.edu.
