Over 200 future business professionals to attend UNIBusiness Day

Future business professionals from all over the Midwest will visit University of Northern Iowa’s campus for UNIBusiness Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. Juniors and seniors in high school will have the opportunity to tour the school and learn more about its nationally recognized programs. UNI is expecting nearly 400 people, including over 200 potential business students.

“UNIBusiness day has been in place for the last eight years,” said Jenny Connolly, academic advising manager. “We have seen tremendous growth in attendance over that time. The goal is to expose students and their families to all of the great options at UNI and UNIBusiness. It’s exciting to see business teachers bringing students to explore the many paths in the field of business.”

Students interested in a career in business will have a well-rounded and interactive experience on campus, with group and one-on-one settings available. Through engaging presentations, breakout sessions and group tours, attendees can expect to learn about:  

  • Potential business careers​
  • UNIBusiness majors and minors, including accounting, business teaching, economics, finance, human resources, management, management information systems, marketing, real estate an supply chain management
  • UNIBusiness internship opportunities
  • UNIBusiness student organizations
  • UNI’s campus and residence halls

In addition, UNIBusiness Day will include the VIP (Very Important Panther) experience, which offers great benefits like:

  • Free lunch at the award-winning Rialto Dining Center on UNI’s campus
  • A 20 percent discount at the UNI Bookstore
  • A free “Get Ready for Business” t-shirt
