Accordion Arrow    UNIBusiness Twin Cities Scholarship

Amount: $3,000 per year
Open to incoming freshmen from the Twin Cities metro area who intend to pursue a major in one of the degree programs offered by the University of Northern Iowa College of Business Administration.

Preference given to students who

  • have an ACT of 27 or above
  • reside in one of the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott or Washington
  • apply to the University of Northern Iowa

This scholarship is renewable for three years. For renewal, the student must be admitted to the College of Business Administration by the end of sophomore year and remain a declared business major with a 2.75 cumulative UNI GPA and a 2.75 cumulative GPA in all business courses taken at UNI. The student must also remain a business major and continually make sufficient progress each semester to graduate with a major from the College of Business Administration within four years.

Must be a U.S. citizen and a new graduate from a Minnesota high school.
Amount:
RAI of 320 or above = $3,500 per year
RAI of 280 – 319 = $2,500 per year
RAI of less the 280 with an ACT of 28 or above = $2,500 per year

Students admitted by March 1 will receive award for the following academic year. Remaining allocation will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Must maintain out-of-state residency for continued eligibility. Renewable for three years with a college GPA of 2.5 or above.

Amount: $1,000 per year
Must be a non-resident of Iowa and must have a parent, grandparent or sibling who graduated from UNI or a sibling currently enrolled at UNI. Must answer "yes" to question on Application for Admission regarding parent, grandparent or sibling. Students admitted by March 1 will receive award for the following academic year. Remaining allocation will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Available to new graduates from an out-of-state high school for four years. Available to transfers students for two years. Must maintain out-of-state residency for continued eligibility. Renewable with a college GPA of 2.5 or above.
