The Ethics Badge is available to students who choose to make a personal commitment to ethical leadership, professional integrity, and responsible decision-making. By participating in ethics-focused programs and discussions, you'll strengthen the skills employers value while gaining practical experience navigating real-world ethical challenges.

By signing the Wilson College of Business Student Code of Ethics, participating in the UNI Ethics Case Competition, and attending at least two approved ethics events during the academic year, you'll demonstrate your commitment to leading with integrity. Complete the form below to sign the pledge and commit to becoming an ethical leader.

Student Code of Ethics

Students at the Wilson College of Business should understand that they are held to a higher standard within the learning community. They should always conduct themselves in activities that are responsible, ethical, and mature. The attributes and habits that business students develop while in college will create the foundation for their professional behavior to be built upon.

By following this Code of Ethics in addition to the University's policies, Wilson College of Business students will be able to set a strong example for their peers to follow.

Accountability and Honesty

  • Know and define goals for success, both academic and personal
  • Understand and honor University policies, practice behaviors that coordinate with these standards
  • Take responsibility when something is done wrong on the student's part

Respectfulness

  • Welcome and embrace the diversity that enriches oneself, the student body, and campus as a whole
  • Use campus property and facilities in a proper and mature manner

Integrity

  • Take part in socially responsible and ethical activates both on and off campus that would otherwise impact the reputation of the school
  • Uphold personal beliefs and values despite the challenging environments and situations that may come with them

Serving Others

  • Collaborate with one another to create a strong and supportive learning environment
  • Take the time to serve peers, campus and the community through involvement and volunteer work

Professionalism

  • Strive to attain success by making continual efforts to improve upon academic performance, professional knowledge and other skillsets
  • Commit to reaching high standards of performance, cooperation and conduct while encouraging and supporting peers to reach these same goals
