Demand is high for finance professionals!

Businesses often make decisions now about projects to pursue well into an uncertain future. It is a financial professional's job to analyze value-creating alternatives and identify the best course of action for an organization's limited resources. Contrary to the corporate world, individuals increasingly need the expertise of financial professionals to help them navigate a complex financial market. Private and business investment decisions benefit greatly from the outlook a finance education can bring.

The finance program at UNI Business helps you to succeed professionally by preparing you to take either the Level 1 Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) exam or the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) exam.

  • Level 1 Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA). Recognized as a University Affiliation Program by the CFA® Institute, UNI's finance program gives you the analytical reasoning and technical competence to help you earn this highly sought after financial professional certification.

  • Certified Financial Planner® (CFP). The only CFP® board registered college in the state of Iowa, UNI Business meets the educational requirement needed to take the certification exam. This will allow you to take it immediately after graduation saving you and your potential employer time and money.

In addition to our accredited finance program, many students also major in our renowned real estate program for only a few credits more. UNI has the only 4-year real estate program in the state of Iowa! Check out the newsletters below for the latest happenings in the Finance Department.
