Business Analytics Major

Data analysis tells stories using numbers instead of words.

More than looking at numbers, business analysts actually see trends, stories, predictions, opportunities when they interpret data. It’s about seeing meaning in the data and recommending business decisions. You might look for historical trends, you may use data to predict what would likely happen in the future. You may test different scenarios to see what happens.

McKinsey research has shown that companies using data analytics experience average higher financial profits. That means demand for business analysts has increased. As one of the fastest growing (and in short supply) careers, data analysts are part of critical to successful business plans.
