Arthur T. Cox Real Estate Champion Award Nomination
Honoring Excellence, Commitment and Legacy in Real Estate Education
This prestigious award honors the legacy of Arthur T. Cox, a trailblazer and lifelong advocate for real estate education at the University of Northern Iowa. Presented annually, the award recognizes individuals, groups, or organizations who have made extraordinary contributions to the UNI Real Estate Program and the UNI Center for Real Estate Education.
- Nomination Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate a strong, sustained commitment to UNI Real Estate through excellence in one or more of the following areas:
- Professional Excellence – Industry leadership, innovation, ethics and impact.
- Advocacy & Representation – Promotion of UNI Real Estate in professional and public arenas.
- Engagement & Mentorship – Student mentoring, speaking engagements and alumni-faculty connection building.
- Innovative Impact – Driving initiatives that grow the program’s reputation and partnerships.
- Sustained Commitment – Long-term contributions of time, resources and support.
- Who Can Nominate?
Alumni, faculty, staff, students and industry professionals.
- Nomination Package
- Completed nomination form
- Letter of recommendation (max 2 pages)
- The nominee’s resume or biography
- Optional: Supporting materials (testimonials, media, etc.)
Submission Deadline: Annually by September 1
- Selection Process
Nominations are reviewed by a selection committee and finalists are voted on by the Real Estate Advisory Council at the Fall meeting. The recipient is honored at the Spring Real Estate celebration event.
- Recognition
Award recipients are celebrated with a custom trophy, a video tribute and permanent recognition on a commemorative plaque in the Curris Business Building and the online Hall of Champions.
