Open the Door to Opportunity

Students with a solid academic record in high school can qualify for direct admission to the Wilson College of Business. High school achievers have shown they are ready to excel in the college classroom. So, for those who qualify, we waive the all requirements to become fully admitted to the Wilson College of Business before taking even the first college class.  

In addition, direct admission students qualify for a distinct session of BUSINESS 1000.  This will provide a head start for moving achievers into key student leadership roles throughout the college, a role that helps business graduates further distinguish themselves from the competition.

How to Qualify

Direct admission to the business college will open the door to many opportunities, including:

  • Designated sections of our Professional Readiness Program
  • One-on-one strengths coaching

If you qualify for direct admittance into the Wilson College of Business, you may be eligible to receive various University and UNI business college scholarships.

‌Academy Criteria

The following criteria must be met for admission into the UNI Business Scholar Academy:

  • You are a first-year student and have indicated the College of Business as your college of choice. This includes international students.
  • You have a high school GPA of 3.85 

OR

  • You are a first-year student and have indicated the College of Business as your college of choice. This includes international students.
  • You scored a 25 or higher on the ACT exam (SAT equivalency of 1200 or higher) AND have a 3.5 GPA

If you meet the university’s criteria for admission, we'll automatically review your application to determine if you're eligible for the UNI Business Scholar Academy. You will be notified by Dean Leslie K. Wilson of your acceptance.
